Today's Featured Biography
David Baldwin
Where do I start? After graduation I worked for several law enforcement agencys before entering the Air Force the very last day of the Old GI Bill on Dec 31, 1976. I had a very interesting job as a Nuclear Weapons Crew Chief, stationed in Europe for three years and several tours at Kirtland in Albuquerque New Mexico at depo level mods and design working closely with Sandia labs and Los Alamos near Santa Fe. After Fullfilling my Duty Obligations in the service I became the Program Coordinator for the State of New Mexico Traffic Safety Bureau, Chief Instructor with both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and National Safety Council and accident investigations for 8 years before moving to Alaska.
Now I am settled down and enjoying Alaska with my wonderful wife Belinda (now retired after 22 years Air Force service, Protcol for 3 star Generals), whom I married in 1980 in Oxford England, and my daughter Jennifer who was born here in Alaska! We live in Chugiak (chew-gee-ak) Alaska with a beautiful view of the Cook Inlet and Chugach mountains. Lots of moose, bears, fox and other critters to enjoy from our back yard, as well as spectacular Aurora Borealis.
I am in the Risk Management Department with the Municipality of Anchorage, Vice President of the Chugiak Community Council, Vice President and Webmaster of Alaska RIMS, Former President, currently Treasure and Webmaster of the Alaska Northern Rider BMW Club (yes we can and do ride motorcycles up here)!
We really enjoy getting out into the Alaska wilderness camping and RVing, flying and snowmobiling and of course motorcycling everywhere.
Sure would have liked to have made it to the reunion, but had too many critical pokers in the fire to deal with here just at the wrong time. I do look forward to seeing all of you next time!
