Today's Featured Biography
David Townsend
(I just reviewed what I wrote a while back. This makes me look pretty serious. I'm not. I'm really a lot of fun to be with. Really. O.K. -- that's a lie. In fact the whole bio below is a lie. I'm destitute. I've been living a refrigerator box at the landfill for years. I collect alumninum cans and dance for quarters in front of Walmart to support a chronic caffeine habit. Happy? I bared my soul for you. Don't look at me!!! .....)
After graduation I attended Northwest College at Powell, Wyo., where I studied printing. In 1976 I worked briefly for Colorworld of Montana in Bozeman. Starting in 1977 I attended the College of Journalism at the University Of Montana in Missoula. I married Deb Fesenmeyer Sept. 2, 1978, in her hometown, Worldand, Wyo.
After leaving Missoula, I worked for newspapers in Cody and Greybull, Wyo., and Lead and Spearfish, S.D. I was the first managing editor for a new daily newspaper, The Spearfish Star. Its publisher later purchased the local weekly and combined the two papers to form the Spearfish Daily Queen City Mail.
We moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, in 1990 where I was hired as a copy editor for the Coeur d'Alene Press. I later was promoted to News Editor. In 2000 I accepted a position as Public Relations/Volunteer Coordinator for the the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, a department of the City of Coeur d'Alene. City residents approved a $3 million bond in February 2005. This will be combined with privately raised money to build a new Library beginning in the fall of 2005.
Along with our son, Adam, I am active in the Boy Scout Programs as a Scoutmaster. My wife is an avid quilter. We adopted Josie, an American Eskimo/Cocker mix who also keeps us on our toes. I would love to hear from my former classmates.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
