2025 Update:
I attended PG Community College (evenings at good old Suitland High School) for a couple of years. Immediately drafted upon leaving school in the spring of 1967; I served a two year hitch in the Army Infantry (USARV 1968-69), Americal Division, I Corps -- up around Da Nang. A messy business to be sure, but an eye opener and confidence booster personally.
I've lived and worked in Maryland my entire life. I, my wife, Carolyn and our family have been very happy and productive; we all now have abodes in Davidsonville, MD (togetherness.) All seven of my brothers and sisters are alive & kicking and doing well for themselves too.
I spent the bulk of my career (1967-2003) with "The Telephone Co." on the Operations side of the business -- originally C&P Telephone Co., eventually becoming Verizon Communications. It was a great technical career and it fit me to a tee. I retired very comfortably in late 2003 and now occasionally assist Carolyn in her residential rental property management business. But mostly I just kick around and enjoy life's simple pleasures -- golf, exercise at Gold's, travel (most recently a Viking cruise on the Danube to Budapest), vegetable gardening, grandchildren and dog sitting (love animals -- dogs especially), cooking and eating... a nice dark red wine goes down well on occasion too, and I try to keep a hand in computing (UNIX/Linux) -- ain't the WEB great!?
Our daughter, Erin, and her husband, Kevin (a semi-retired Naval officer -- now double dipping at the Navy Yards, DC :), have presented us with three grandsons. And our son, Kevin (happily and gainfully employed in project management with a well established local construction management firm) and his wife, Nicole (a registered nurse at Children's Hosp., DC), have contributed yet a fourth grandson.
Life is good. I'm not fixing to live forever, just to keep on smiling.
