After graduation from NHS, I worked in an office for 1 year to earn money for college. Left for college in 1966 near Chattanooga, Tn and graduated in 1970 with a degree in Elementary Education. Married after graduation and taught school for 2 years. Michael was born in 1972 and twin daughters, Tami and Teri came along in 1974. Went back to school in 1982 and finished a 2 year degree in nursing in 1984. Stared working in a neonatal intensive care unit and loved it. Always worked part time to keep family as my first priority.
Was divorced in 1995 and went to graduate school at Emory University in Atlanta in 1996 and finished the master's program in 1999 with a specialty as neonatal nurse practitioner. I am very proud of my 3 children. Michael graduated from my alma mater in 1996 with a degree in psychology. Tami and Teri graduated from my almat mater in 1998 with degrees in Elementary education.
Michael is married and has 4 children and lives nearby. Teri is married with 4 children and lives 50 miles west of me. I get to see them often.
Tami is married and lives near Hattisburg, Mississippi and has 2 children, with #3 due in August. She visits here often and I get to MS 2 or 3 times a year.
After our last reunion, Charlie Hager and I got in touch and have been emailing since. I recently heard from Blair Atherton and we are catching up on the last 44 years by email. Natalie Schrock and I have stayed in touch and we look forward to getting together at reunion time.
My brother, Miles, graduated from NHS in 1967. He lives near Baltimore, is married and has 1 grown daughter. He is always my "date" for reunions.
I love my family and my job and I look forward to our reunion in 2010
