After DMHS, attended The University of Kentucky, and briefly post-graduate at Western Kentucky University to complete a secondary teaching certification. While at UK, tried out for the varsity soccer team, and became a 4-year starter and captain. Returned to Louisville to begin a teaching career which lasted eleven years, during which time served as head soccer coach at Kentucky Country Day School, winning 2 State Championships and 2 times State Runner-up. Also served as the KYSA State Select Coach, and USYSA Region-2 Staff Coach. Left teaching and coaching in 1984 to pursue medicine, and graduated University of Louisville School of Medicine 1990. Residency in Family Medicine at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, where Laura (Critical Care RN) and I met. Stayed in Franklin and Greenwood Indiana, raising our family, and spanning 14 years of private practice until moving back to The Ville in June 2007 to joing Norton Healthcare, Dutchman's Parkway. Recently inducted into the Kentucky Country Day School Hall of Fame. Served 3 years as Deacon of Kenwood Baptist Church in Louisville, and 7 years as Elder at Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood, IN. Currently members of Southeast Christian Church. Children at Christian Academy of Louisville; Anya(10th) plays field hockey, Dima (7th) what else? plays soccer!
