Today's Featured Biography
Jennifer Windholz Weiner
My husband, Barry, and I live in Chanhassen, Minnesota, a southwestern suburb of Minneapolis, and just celebrated our 10th anniversary. We have four crazy, wonderful, adorable, exasperating, sweet, silly, insane little boys ranging from ages 2 to 9. They make life interesting, to say the least. I've given up on ever having a clean carpet again. If they weren't wandering off and being picked up by sheriff's deputies at 4th of July parades, coming to blows over whether or not red grapes are superior to green grapes, using baby oil to "wash" their hair, discovering that "poop.com" is a REAL website, using the top of a 12' high swingset as a balance beam, or teaching their baby brother how to say "bad gas," then we would all be so bored. It's all worth it when one of them looks at you right after you get up in the morning and says, "Mom, you have the best hair in the world."
After high school I attended KSU and spent a year at Ludwig-Maximilians Universitat in Munich, Germany. I returned to KSU and graduated with a degree in Education and German. So naturally it makes total sense that I've been working in the healthcare field for 13 years. Currently I oversee medical and new business underwriting for UnitedHealthcare. Back in 2001 I started a grad school program in Physiology and Healthcare Administration and realized I missed my calling. I really should have gone to med school (deciding on a major at age 19 makes no sense!). After completing half of the program I took a semester off after my second son was born. Then I took off a 2nd semester, and a 3rd, and a 4th...now I just keep moving back my M.S. "graduation" date on my resume/CV---right now I'm on track for 2009!
Dating back to my European train-hopping days I've always loved to travel and have had some great opportunities to see some fabulous places. I also do a fair amount of freelance writing and graphic design. This is something I really love and hope to be able to devote more time to once the above-mentioned energetic boys do not require intense supervision to ensure their safety/survival.
I can't wait to read what everyone else has been up to!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
