Today's Featured Biography
Linda Tuley Schumaker
I married my high school sweetheart, John, in 1967. We have been married 38 years. We have lived all over. We lived in Indianapolis for 15 years, Atlanta for over 6 years and now Stafford, Va. for 15 years. My husband works for the FBI at Quantico, Va. He graduated from the U of I with an Electrical Engineering degree. I graduated from Indiana Univ. with a teaching degree. I have taught preschool for 20 years, the last 14 teaching Head Start. I was Teacher of the Year for 2004. I love little kids. I will keep teaching as long as I can. The kids keep me going. We have 3 little grandkids who all live in Atlanta area as does all of my family, including my mother. We all migrated there after my brother, Dick, married a girl from Marietta, Ga. We visit Georgia often and hope to retire there one day. My husband still has family in Decatur. We were just there for a reunion this past June. I enjoy traveling in the US and overseas with my husband. We just spent Easter in Australia where he was on business for the FBI. We are empty nesters having seen the last child graduate from college last year. Stafford is just south of Quantico Marine corp base and just north of Fredericksburg. We live 45 minutes south (on a good day) of Washington, D C. Please stop by if you are in the area.
