Hello old friends, it’s hard to believe it will soon be 20 years departed from MDHS! The time has passed quickly and life has been pretty good for the most part! I am enjoying living in McCall and raising my children here, it’s such a fun place to be for all ages! We are all loving God and loving life, so here’s a little bit about the direction it has gone…
I’m divorced, and a single mom of about 5 years with three great kids,a great job, an awesome church family and yes,I got fat, however I have been modeling. It's true, I'm a model.
Have you seen the advertisement on the home page at classmates.com where the bikini wearing woman transforms into that really good looking skinny young thing from being an over-weight pot bellied momma? Well when classmates.com telephoned me last year they said “Would you please pose at a photo shoot for classmates.com”? Of coarse I was like yeah, sure! Cool!
So I made my way to the San Francisco studios to begin my photo shoot last
Fall when the classmates.com staffers and photographers said to me: “O.K. momma, put on this swim suit that’s about 3 sizes too small. Now bloat your gut out a little bit more than normal in order to highlight your stretch marks…..o.k…now, good, good and hold…… and click. O.K. now turn to the side and push it out a bit more to make sure we get a good look at that Tire of yours……o.k., good, don’t breathe, now hold and click”!
Now I realize at this point many of you may be wondering such things like why did classmates.com choose Lynn Johnson for a modeling shoot? Or things like, aren’t half of American women overweight, why choose Lynn Johnson? These are legitimate questions, however the reason I was chosen for this job dates back several years. Let’s say about 20 years ago when I was selected the winner in a secret contest amongst many other high school senior girls that were supporting a minimum of 8 to 13 feet of hair that was cemented straight up in the air. We all took part in a "futuristic" computer picture that some crazy computer geek from New York City was dreaming up. It was an idea that would keep graduates and alumni in contact with one another after graduation, hence the website; classmates.com.
When this guy first eyeballed my 11 foot 3 ½ inch Pelican’s nest, he knew at that moment I should pose as a poster child for his soon-to-be web-site. A few years later I was on the internet popping up in various sites asking viewers things like “Do you recognize this face? Check out classmates.com to see whose face this hair belongs too”! Lots of tag lines like that……
Anyway, that’s how I got my big modeling break. You can see why I won the contest from the lovely senior picture attached to the web-site along with another photo from my youth that you can see in my slde show.
These two modeling jobs have been life changing experiences for me and sharing this with you guys also helps me full-fill one of the other requirements in my modeling contract with classmates.com and that is; I must say classmates.com a minimum of 28 times per day. To promote my work and my contract, please check me out at classmates.com!
20 years ago I’m sure I wouldn’t have been able to say this but now I know, some people really do have all the luck!
Stay tuned for more b.s. type tales from a twisted little mind…
See you all in the summer of 2009!
