How fantastic to be in touch with you all again!!! I’ve been sitting here for the past hour reading all of your bios, smiling and feeling so happy. Many thanks to Aaron for everything he's done with this website and reunion to bring us all together again!

I’m truly sad to say that I won’t be at our reunion. I’m pregnant with our 2nd baby, and my due date is only a couple of weeks past our reunion date. So, I’ll have to stay close to home. But I promise to be at our 30-year reunion…I’d better NOT be pregnant again at that point!

My husband, Dan, and I were married three years ago (the best thing that ever happened to me!), and we have a 17-month-old daughter, Scarlett, who is just the most amazing joy. Baby #2 appears to be a boy, and we can hardly wait to meet this little guy!

After high school, I went to Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, which I morphed into a public relations career.

I was fortunate to get a job as PR Manager – and eventually Communications Director - for the U.S. Ski Team in Park City, Utah. I spent 7 years working with great athletes and staff and traveling to many amazing places. I worked two Olympic Winter Games (Lillehammer, Norway in ’94 and Nagano, Japan in ’98) with the Ski Team, and then left in ’99 to take a job with the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games; I worked with the team that organized all alpine, freestyle and snowboard competition.

After the Games ended in 2002, I moved to Colorado Springs, CO to take a communications position with USA Cycling and, later, USA Rugby. At this same time, I started dating my husband, Dan. We actually knew each other in college, but lost touch after I graduated. We were reconnected in a wonderful, serendipitous way: I met a good friend of his while I was on a business trip in Washington D.C. She had my business card, and he happened to see it...luckiest day of my life!

Now we’re living in Louisville, Colorado (3 miles outside of Boulder), I’m a stay-at-home Mom, chasing after Scarlett, devotedly pouring over Martha Stewart’s new Housekeeping anthology and loving this new life. I wish so much that I could see you all in a couple of months! But I’ll look forward to pictures and a reunion recap…and maybe I’ll be brave enough to post a picture of my big ol’ 9-months-pregnant self to the website before the reunion.

P.S. I started going by my full name of “Deborah” during my freshman year in college and it’s been “Deborah” ever since. But you can all still call me “Debbi”…my husband will be the only one confused by that!
