I worked in various fields after high school from bartending to construction, even did one summer on a stand by boat working offshore off the coast of Morgan City La!!! I finally thought I had found my niche in 1984, when i went to nursing school at Tom P Haney here in PC...
I worked in Marianna for 14 years at Marianna Convalescent Center, then in 2002, i moved back here to Panama City and started working for Covenant Hospice.
I have had the honor of taking care of the family members of several of our friends and classmates, and have had both the honor and heartbreak of caring for a few of our classmates.
I have 4 wonderful children. Alex lives in Washington State. Justin has just received his Masters in Divinity from Liberty University. He is married to Jodi, and they have 2 sons, David and Caleb, and are expecting again August 2014...my daughter Jessica is a hospice nurse in Dothan Alabama, she is married to Brandon who is the Pastor of Center UMC in Newville Alabama. They have 2 children, Adria and Jake ...my youngest son AAron is a butcher in Chipley, he is in a relationship with a wonderful girl named Gennie and has 1 daughter, Piper. So as you can see, i have been very busy since high school!!!
But just to prove I am young at heart, I started back to Gulf Coast in the fall of 2008. I finished my AS degree in Business Management/Marketing Fall of 2010,My AA in Pre-Nursing Fall Of 2011.I decided since I have to pay for all this education, I could use a little more money so I decided to get my RN before going any further.I got my RN in June of 2013 and started toward my BSN. I am currently in the 2nd semester of that program at GCSC. I work full time at Covenant Hospice inpatient unit at BMC! Whew! Thanks for reading this!
