Today's Featured Biography
Cindy Guthrie Laird
After being dragged to Texas right after graduation, I fell in love with it. I married quickly and almost as quickly was divorced (2Years). I met my next husband at Skaggs Albertsons, where we both worked and although there was an age difference we were married almost 30 years. Too bad it didn't work out!! Our two oldest children- Robin and Tony were from his first marriage, and we had twins, Tom and Tanya in 1976. All of them are great kids. Robin is married and lives in Houston, Texas. She has three boys. Tony is married also and has two girls. Tanya has been married 3 years, no children, and Tom is still single.
My husband passed away nearly 5 years ago from cancer after a long and gracious fight. My Mother lives with me and we both work together at my business, photography. We have had a great time working and living together and I am blessed to have great friends and family close by.
I love my work, photography is rewarding, challenging and I learn something new everytime I shoot. I do childrens' sports photography, some weddings and a few family portraits. I love doing landscape and outdoor, but the kids pay the bills. Besides they are a treat to shoot, and they go home with someone else!
I miss my husband every day, but I am enjoying life and look forward to seeing what tomorrow brings.
Just an update, my Mother passed away, quite unexpectantly, August 2009. Now I miss her and my husband, but life does go on. I am going on a mission trip to Uganda, Africa in June 2010 and will be excited to see everyone in July. Keep me in your prayers until we meet again.
