Today's Featured Biography
Carol Robertson Martin
Married in 1959. Lived in Lakewood until 1971
Built a small farm near Erie, CO, where my boys could grow up with lots of fun and responsibilites. We had horses, beefalo, hogs for the boys 4-H project. I began showing dogs in 1966, Afghan Hounds and Llasa Apsas. Had a small breeding kennel in Erie. Began showing horses in 1970, and with my love of horses, the dog show circuit went by the roadside. I still had my dogs, but didn't show them anymore. My sons all graduated from Erie, HS (St.Vrain Valley School Dist). I was a stay at home mom, but in 1977 I began working in the lunchroom at Erie HS., what better way to keep up with what my boys were doing. In 1978 I began driving a school bus for Erie. 1979 I divorced and in 1981 I went to college for an AAS Degree in VET. MED., Bel Rea,E. Alameda Vet. Hospital. Graduated 2nd in my class...surprise,surprise. Studied my brains out! 1983 my adopted son Eddie was killed
