Today's Featured Biography
La Nette Foster Williamson
After graduating high school, I worked six years for Hilyard Drilling Company, a seismic drilling company with headquarters
in El Dorado. I also taught private piano lessons during this time. When I had my first son, I became a stay-at-home mom for the next twenty years. I then worked for Spencer Spencer Depper & Guthrie law firm. During this time my husband and I purchased The Flower Basket, a gift and home decor store. We enjoyed going to market together four times a year. After ten years, I closed the store to become a full time grandmother. I have been blessed to be married to my husband of 51 years, John Thomas. We have lived all of our married life in El Dorado, where we raised our three sons who still live in El Dorado. Vance is a graduate of South Arkansas University in Magnolia and now works as manager/estimator for Diversified Services. He also serves as an Alderman on the City Council. He is married to Netasha Wolfe Williamson, a credit manager for Murphy Oil Corporation. Blake attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston and now owns Diversified Services Lawn and Garden Center, a business he built from the ground up, with locations in El Dorado, Texarkana & Harrison. He is also the owner of Diversified Construction & Design. He is married to Elizabeth (Liz) Moore Williamson, who works alongside him at Diversified Services. Brent is a graduate of the University of Arkansas Monticello and is a registered forester with F&W Forestry. He is also currently pursuing a Masters degree in Religious Education. He is married to Katie Newkirk Williamson, who is a stay-at-home mom to four of our grandchildren and also home schools them. We have three grandsons, Garrett(12), Walker(6), John David(5) and five granddaughters, Alex(10), Grace(9), Victoria(7), Charlotte(3) and Abigail(18 mos.)
I have been blessed beyond measure with a 51-year marriage, three wonderful sons, three amazing daughters-in-law & eight wonderful grandchildren. God is good.
This is what I've been up to the past 50 years.
