Today's Featured Biography
Meagan Coffey Swenson
After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, I got a teaching certificate from Gonzaga. I spent the next four years teaching English and drama at Ferris. I loved the job and loved the kids - but didn't love never being done with work.
I got married to my wonderful husband, Eric, and moved over to the Olympia area. I spent some time working at a semi-professional theatre in Seattle, but when we decided to have kids that nightly commute had to stop.
I switched to writing and had a few articles and short stories published.
I discovered to my complete surprise that I really enjoy being a stay-at-home mom. So, for the past nine years I've been doing that and volunteering at the boys' school. It's a job in itself to keep up with the kids' activities - swimming, track, cross country, theatre, art and this summer they added archery!
For the past three years I've also been working part-time as an editor. I guess those skills Mrs. Graham taught us really did come in handy!
In another shock, I competed in two sprint triathlons. Who knew I could run unless it meant I would be first in line for food or money? I have since hung up my running shoes and have been content to watch my kids run in track and cross country (and yes, my seven year old runs a faster mile than I do).
Most of our summers are taken up with camping and trips to the ocean. In fact, that's why we had to miss the reunion this year. Maybe we can catch the 25th!
It's been really fun to read everyone's bios! Hope to hear from you and I'm glad that everyone is doing so well!
I'll try to get some pictures loaded soon - that's been one of the most fun parts of looking at people's updates!

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
