Two classmates lost sons this week.

Today's Featured Biography
William Rose
After graduation I entered the Army and shipped out to Germany once I completed training. I spent the next three years counting the days until I would be out of the military. However, shortly before I was to return to the United States, I met my future wife Karin. So I decided to extend my time in the service and in Germany, and in 1980 we got married. I ended up staying in the Army until 1997 when I retired. I was an MP the entire time I was in the Army. I was stationed in Germany from 1977 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1987. I was also stationed at Fort Devens, MA (1981 to 1983), Fort Lewis, WA (1988 to 1991 and 1993 to 1997), and in Korea (1991 to 1992). We have three children, who are now all grown, and five grandchildren, ages 15, 15, 13, 6, and 3.
After I retired from the Army I went to work for the Washington State Patrol as an Evidence Custodian in the Crime Laboratory in Seattle and later I transferred to the WSP Tacoma District Office. In 2001 I transferred to the WSP Human Resource Division where I am the Lead Investigator in the WSP Polygraph and Background Investigation Section.
