Today's Featured Biography
Karen Dryden Walker
After high school, I attended USU and U of U, but followed my family to the South at age 20. I served a mission in Taipei Taiwan (1985-1987), came home, met my husband Craig Walker at Auburn University (my parents moved there in '85). Married soon after. Five kids, the oldest graduates in 2007. Finally finished my bachelors degree in 1997, and started teaching special education when my youngest daughter started first grade. I love my current position, and while it's a challenge to balance my time at school and my kids, it's working pretty well now. I guess that I am a convert to the South. We live in the foothills of the Appalachians, in Georgia. My kids have southern accents like their dad! I wish I could join you all for the reunion. It's on my 43rd birthday! But it's also on the exact same day as our family reunion, which we are hosting this year. My siblings live in Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, and Malaysia! That just happens to be the weekend that we could manage to get everyone together. I wish that I'd known sooner, but y'all have fun, okay? Email me if you want. I love to hear from old friends.
