Today's Featured Biography
Stephen Nagle
I futzed around with college a little after graduation, but I did not know what I was doing. I was invited to take an "academic vacation." Twice. After three semesters, I followed my muse into radio, and was a disc jockey from 1968-1975: at - not in this order - WUVA-FM (college), KFMK-FM & KLOL-FM (Houston), KUT-FM & KOKE-FM (Austin), KUFO-FM (Galveston). You can listen to a time capsule of a 1968 broadcast of one of my shows at http://vasthead.com/Radio/album_rock.html. The MP3 is a little down the page, or at http://vasthead.com/RA/KFMK/KFMK_1968_0824_.mp3
All the while I kept trying to finish college. After taking classes at the Univ. of Va., & Southwestern Univ., I finally graduated from the Univ. of Houston in 1975, and immediately went to Law School. I graduated from UT Law in 1978, and have been living, and practicing personal injury trial law, in Austin ever since.
Except that, in 1998-99, I moved my family to Paris, France, so my wife, Quincy Adams Erickson, could attend Le Cordon Bleu. She graduated with a Grande Diplome (Superior Certification in both Cuisine and Patisserie), & now has a catering business called Fete Accompli. Her crowning achievement was being asked to cater an event for President Obama, in the spring of 2016.
I read the graduation yearbook recently. I have not finished the novel I promised, but I did start it. I still write, and I still play music. Keeping it weird.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
