Remember most from MHS: Dorothy Mackey, Wanda Fry, French class, Mr. Tharp, Markettes, Chip, Jane, Sara, Tempe, Barb, and more
From previous personal entry:
born Houston, Texas and yearned much of life to live in France, Dieu sait pourquoi! Got to several times and am probably mostly over that, but Paris still can be "dreamy". NOPE not over Paris..going back for the month of May 2024.
Went to Rice like my parents and Auntie Nora
Learned to love the out of doors at the Dad's Club--where Jake was the caretaker from time I was in 2nd grade through 4th & with Girl Scouts - Really enjoying the out of doors in Hawaii since March 2010.
Grandmother Bruce (Jake's mom) taught me to love flowers and people
Mom (Anna Margaret's mother) taught me to love music, art and life
Still thinking about what Jake and Anna Margaret taught me, other than everything I knew when I left the nest and then some, especially Anna Margaret who turned 96 this year (2009).
Have two sisters, 5 & 10 years younger, Ellen and Mardi, with whom I feel close
Have been married twice and lived from New England to the Rockies to the Great Lakes,to Hawaii, back to Texas and since 2015 reside in Oregon.
As for careers, like Ross Bonny the 1973 oil crisis more or less re-routed me from using my PhD in French literature to a variety of career pursuits, including writing (10 cents a column inch) for a local New England newspaper, an international contract administrator for computer manufacturers who later got snapped up by larger ones who in turn had the same fate, running my own interior plantscaping firm in Boston 5 years, concurrent to working on overcoming infertility and finally succeeding about the same time the plantscape business became profitable, sold the business and spent a personal sabbatical year in sight of the Pyrenees (Pau, France) with not only (now ex-)husband Mike and 2 year old son Devin but also mother Anna Margaret & sister Mardi (1987-88)--got to visit Linda Carmichael there who was fixing up a 200 year old home in Burgundy with her husband Jean-Claude.
My son Devin was born in 1985 and now works for University of Oregon as an applications programmer.
Had been visiting Wanda Pair in Paris from time to time--not since 1984, though, I think it was.
We've lost touch over last decades..does anyone reading this have a current address?
Ah, the good old days of black and white. There are 97 pictures of couples and individuals.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
