Today's Featured Biography
Lee Cannon
I can’t believe it has been 50 years since our graduation. After MHS, I graduated from Georgia Tech with an engineering degree and started a career focused on the electronics business, which became the computer/high tech business. I worked for Texas Instruments in Houston and then headed to Silicon Valley in 1977 to work with several computer hardware/software start-ups. I was fortunate to work with many leaders in the computer industry, learned from the best, and in 1994 founded a software company.
In 1990, at our 25th MHS Reunion, I was lucky to meet fellow classmate Kappy Kyle (Sharpe), married a year later, and live in Pleasanton, California. We knew each other from Mr. Thorpe’s calculus class. Kathy (Kappy) is my best friend. Together we have 6 kids and 9 grandkids (#10 coming soon). We love traveling, especially our summers in Crested Butte, Colorado, but everything stops when we can hang out with the grandkids.
Competitive running and triathlons (swim/ bike/ run) have brought balance to my life and have been effective stress relievers. But after running for 33 years, my knees wore out, so now I get my physical activity fix on a mountain bike or in the swimming pool. Fortunately, there are age group bike races, where I can compete with other guys my age.
Can’t wait to reconnect with you.
