Today's Featured Biography
DiAnna Gore Munson
Steve and I were married on December3, 1966 in Amarillo. Same church my parents were married. We lived in Dumas until February 1967 when he was drafted into the Army. I moved to Deer Park, Tx to stay with my parents while he was in Viet Nam. When he returned to the States in 1969 he was stationed at Fort Bliss in Colorado Springs for the next year. When we left there in February 1971 we were expecting our first child. We moved to Pasadena Tx were John (Steve) started his own construction business and insisted on being called by his first name -John.
Daniel arrived in October and parenthood began! New business and new baby was the making of a very interesting life. The following July '72 - we moved into the sceond house John built. Our daughter was born in'74. I started college in '78 graduated UTMB in Galveston '81 with a BS in Nursing. I was hired at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center before I took my nursing boards, must like it, I'm still there working part time now. As close to retirement as I can get.
We have 5 grandchildren -Waylan (18), Caitlin (16), Lorren (16), Kyleigh (15), and Willian ll (Billy) (14)
2 step-great grandsons (twins 2yr)
John crossed the rainbow bridge to live with our Lord June 2010. After 43 years together, adjusting to live without him has been hard. But, my prayers were answered for a companion to enjoy these later years.
I met a man who is an active participant in the Renaissance Faire here in Texas. We will be at rehearsal the weekend of the reunion. I willbe thinking of all and will lift a bottleof Meade in honor of the Class of '66!
