Today's Featured Biography
Gary Holland
Graduated from Dumas High in 1958. Graduated from West Texas State in 1962. Married Kay in 1961. Entered Army in 1962 as a 2nd Lieutenant and was stationed in Ft. Hood were I served in the 2nd Armor Division (Hell On Wheels) Tour included Operation Big Lift to Germany, Longthrust 10 to Germany and Exercise Desert Strike in the Mojave Desert. Discharged from Army in 1964 and moved back to Amarillo, TX.
Worked for Texas Highway Dept as a draftsman and then moved to EL Paso, Tx and worked for Lockheed Electronics at White Sands Missile Range as a Electro/Mech draftsman. Worked for Lockheed for 3.5 years and then moved to Garland, TX where I worked for Texas Instruments as a Mech Designer for 13 years. Moved to Bartlesville OK in 1982 and worked for Applied Automation (div of Phillips 66). Co sold to ABB and in 2002 I retired as the Design Services Supervisor/Electro-Mech Designer for a product called TOTALFLOW. Kay and I have been very active in the Methodist Church where we have made Volunteer In Mission trips to Guatemala,Chile, Mexico, Honduras and Feb 2013 we went Dominican Republic. We have also made 8 trips to Casa Esperanza in Albuquerque, NM. Our son Darrell is the Food Director for PineCove Christian Camp in Tyler, TX and our daughter and her son lives with us where she is a hairdresser in Bartlesville. The VIM trip to Honduras, Dominican Republic, Casa Esperanza, 4 Methodist Indian church in OK and Camp Egan have been tiling missions. Our church is quite well known for out tiling team.
