Today's Featured Biography
Jerrie Schuman Howe
Looking forward to our 55 year reunion. Now, I have to travel to Dumas for a reunion. I sold the farm in 2014 and moved to Amarillo in July of 2014. I lived in an apartment until my house was built. I moved into the house in March of 2015. This has been quite an adjustment. I like the convenience of living in Amarillo for doctors, hairdresser, dentist, playing tennis, pickleball, etc. But, I don't like living in town.
All of my grandchildren are grown. However, I now have a 21 month old great granddaughter. She came at a good time for me. She is the joy in my life. I keep her every Friday. We just play all day long.
I still work, but I work from home. That works best for me. I will always work at some thing. If I don't work, my mind will turn to mush. Ha.
For the last three years I have been a volunteer at the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. I spend about two weeks there during the tournament. The first year I worked the gates, then I signed up for the credentials committee, which I have done for the last two years. BECAUSE we are in an air conditioned building versus the heat at the gate. I ended up cancelling my trip this year as I made a trip to the ER at the end of January and I was somewhat afraid to travel out there because I didn't know what was going on with me. Apparently it was a case of anxiety that made my BP spike really high. Too much FOX network and worrying about traveling that close to the border. Last November I volunteered to work at the Pickleball Nationals held at Indian Wells Tennis Garden. It was the first time being held at that venue. I had a really good time and met a lot of nice people on top of seeing great Pickleball.
Donnie passed away in June, 2018. I really miss him. We remained friends and he would call me sometimes to visit and bring me up to speed on a lot of people.
I hope to see a lot of people for the reunion.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
