50 Year Reunion Announcement!
Meet and greet/buffet dinner
2019 - 6:30 pm
Hodgetown Stadium, 715 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, Texas
$35 per person
Hodgetown, Amarillo's new downtown ballpark, is the home of the Amarillo Sod Poodles, a Texas League AA team affiliated with the San Diego Padres. It features an upper-level event room accessible by elevator.
Cash bar at 6:30 p.m. Fajita buffet at 7:30 p.m.: chicken and beef, grilled veggies, rice, black beans, guacamole, chips and queso, salad items and dessert.
Because of generous donations from some of our classmates, we only had to increase the cost per person $25 more than what we paid for the 40th reunion.
You can pay by check or PayPal. Total weekend cost per person is $95. Cost per couple is $190.
Blocks of room have been reserved at the following Amarillo hotels under "AHS Class of 69." Cutoff date is Sept. 15:

BS - Colorado State University - 1974
MS - Colorado State University - 1976
MRE - Southern Baptitst Theological Seminary - 1979
MDIV - Southern Baptist Theological Seminary - 1983
The two degrees from Southern were professional/practical degrees and did not require research and thesis writing.
I live in Victoria British Columbia, Canada. Victoria is located on Vancouver Island and is the provincial capital for BC. We are a 30 minute airplane ride or a 6 hour ferry and drive from Seattle, Washington.
For the past 6 years I have been a solopreneur with a bookkeeping business. I do books for home based businesses, a fitness centre, a contruction company, a restaurant, a charter boat captain, a tug boat captain, and many others. I also prepare personal income tax returns. I enjoy crunching numbers and dealing with the personalities.
Before that I worked/served for 26 years in pastoral ministry. I served in churches in Ft. Collins, CO., Louisville, KY., Warren, MI., Red Deer, Alberta, and Victoria, BC. I have also participated in 2 short term mission trips to El Salvador. I still do pastoral ministry in several different situations, I just don't get paid for it.
My wife Audrey and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in January. We have 2 kids Greg(23) and Claire(19). Greg is graduating from the University of Victoria with a BS in Chemistry. He will enter the PHD program at the University of Toronto in the Fall. Claire is attending UVic and wants to go in to nursing.
Other than family, work and church, my other real passion is cycling. I do a long distance ride every August (10 years) to raise money for the Canadian Bible Society. I am also a big fan of the Tour de France, which I have watched on television every year since 1986.
I also enjoy baseball, reading, and watching movies.
For those of you who had my mother (Mary Gibson) for Spanish class, she died in October, 2000. I have not returned to Amarillo since.
