Today's Featured Biography
Marla McGlasson Laur
Eddy ( AHS '68) and I have been married 48 years and are still in Amarillo after a brief 3 years in Denver while he finished his degree and got his MBA at The University of Denver. We are the proud parents of two wonderful sons. Our oldest, Johnathan is married and he and wife Tiffany are here in Amarillo too, makes it very easy to spend time with our two granddaughters, Phoebe Jane,14 and Piper Mac,11. They keep us very busy and are a JOY!!! Our younger son, Casey lives in Kansas City. He and wife Mallory have our youngest grandchild, Hutchison Edward, 18 months. We wish we lived closer but try to see them as often as we can.
Eddy is back at work, still trading grain. He started back about a year ago after retiring for the second time in 2016...its just in his blood and loves the excitement! He was diagnosed with Parkinson's about 7 years ago and it's slowed him down some but we still try to go and do as much as we can.
In the past several years we have enjoyed many river cruses, and have a couple more planned...we'll go until we can't!
I stay busier than I'd sometimes like with grand babies, travel, gardening and general daily stuff... as I get older, I wonder where the time goes, but guess I just move slower than I used to.
How grateful we're still around and able to plan for everyone to be together this coming October!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!
How fortunate we have been to still nourish the friendships we've had for 50+ years.
