Rhea Simon Rhea Simon
Hi Ya all from up here near Boston! I sure do miss all my friends from Hillwood. Does anyone know if there will be the 40th HS Reunion this year and where? Dying to know. Love to come see everyone that graduated in 1973!a After graduating Hillwood, I got my BFA at Syracuse University in Music and Theatre. What else, right? I was of course, the Drama Queen, one of many! Started singing and dancing at Opryland at 16 while still in high school and never stopped performing. Its been 42 years performing as singer/musician professionally and taught piano and voice lessons for 20 years, as well. After college, I sang in top 40 bands, then jazz bands and big bands and even sang backup 4 years with Elvis Impersonators on the road . Crazy but fun, creative and musical life. Got married at 26 to a jazz musician and performed 12 years together. Had a son, Dan, now 23 (also a musician -guitarist that studied at Berklee School of Music in Boston). Got divorced at 38 and been with a partner, Steve, for years. Still performing, mostly with jazz groups in Boston area, also solo piano/vocal gigs for weddings and private functions. Also teaching private instruction and checking into some future college and private boarding school positions. Have 3 cats and live in a nice private home in North Andover, MA(just 30 minutes north of Boston). Love to hear from any of you HHS alumni, especially my old drama club and choir and band buddies! Those were the good ole days. Hope all of you are well and happy and successful in your lives!!
