Today's Featured Biography
Jesica Johnson Womack
Most of you will remember my husband more that you will me. He grew up in Hixson, and knew many of you from elementary school.
I was only at Hixson for our Senior year, having transfered in from Texas.
Shane and I actually met at our 10 year reunion, and became friends. We laugh about it now, because I made it very clear to him that all I wanted was a friendship, and then fell HEAD over HEELS in love when we met at Disney World while I was in Florida for a business trip.
We've been married 9 years.
:) The LORD has blessed us with the 2 most precious kids ever.
(I'm not at all biased!)
Shane is a Professional Civil Engineer, and we live in a little town just north of Phoenix. He is very respected within his company, and God has blessed the work of his hands, having promoted him regularly.
He is a Project Manager within the Solid Waste and Waste Water divisions, and is the Business Class Leader for Solid Waste in the Phoenix office of HDR Engineering.
After living a life of total blasphemy, God showed me my sin and I bowed my knee to Him and surrendered my life to Jesus Christ 13 days after Shane and I got married.
Prior to that, I had talked a good talk, but my life was a mockery to God.
But, Praise Him! After June 11,1999 I'm a new creation in Christ!
He is why I wake up in the morning..and He is everything to me. Shane and the kids are the icing on the cake!
Shane and I are both trained Precept Bible Study leaders, and we see Arizona as our mission field.
I am blessed to be in a role of teaching women and children how to study the Bible inductively, and am humbled at how God turns trash (like I was) to treasure for His Glory!
After High School, I studied acting for many years. I was active in theatre in college, and then after college in Washington D.C. and Houston, TX.
While living in Milwaukee, I started a career in radio sales, and then went on to work for Arbitron Radio Ratings, consulting and training radio sales teams, and selling radio listening data.
After working for Arbitron, I went back to selling radio at the local level, in Knoxville.
One day after giving my life to Christ, He made it clear that the job had to go, because it didn't honor Him.
It went 2 days later, and since that time I haven't worked outside the home.
My job now is taking care of Shane, homeschooling our kids, and teaching women and children how to study the Bible inductively.
For free time, I like to curl up with my Bible and an iced latte, or swim in the backyard with Shane after the bambinos go to sleep. :)
We really have been blessed. God is so gracious!
If anyone knows how to reach John Bookout, Shane would love to catch up with him...so if you know, please send us an e-mail.
We don't plan on being at the reunion, because we'll be making a trip to TN earlier in the summer, but hope you all have a wonderful time!
