Today's Featured Biography
Krista Belt Lee
A big thanks to my old pal, Jennifer Bailey Wheeler for directing me to this website! I headed off to Vol Country (UTK) in the Fall of 1985, with another 85 HHS alumna, Christa Pickett Mannarino as a college dorm roomie. I graduated with a degree in Education, but actually worked as a traveling consultant for my sorority for the year following graduation. Totally great job as I traveled all over the US of A visiting lots of universities. I returned to Knoxville in 91, had a wonderful experience teaching 5th grade in an inner city school, enrolled in graduate school at UTK & received my M.S. in Curriculum/Instruction. I went on to get the MRS. degree when I married my college sweetheart, Dan the Man in '93. I taught my 5th graders for several years, but decided to stay at home when God blessed us with our Irish red headed boy, Ryan; now 6, and then our spunky Southern belle, Anna Elizabeth; now 3. I am THE quintessential suburban housewife stereotype (MINUS the mom jeans & minivan...yet), and adore this fun time with my kids! Besides driving them all over Knoxville, I spend time volunteering in the Junior League, active at our church, going to UTK football games, and loving life!
