Today's Featured Biography
Lorine Anderson McKeeman
I graduated from the U of O in 1970. I helped start the gymnastics team and competed all four years.
In the fall of '70 I moved to Honolulu, Hi and taught Girls PE and coached two Women's gymnastic teams, we placed first in State all three years that I was there.
In 1973, I had an Hawaiian wedding in Eugene and married Kevin McKeeman. We met in Hawaii, he was in the Navy, been in Vietnam on a swift boat, and now was working at the Naval Dental Clinic.
we moved to Kansas, finished our masters and I coached the K-State Women's gymnastic team. We took first place in state in 1971 and went to regionals and completed against my old coach that use to coach at NEHS (Chic Johnson).
In 1976 we moved to Santa Fe, NM and taught at the college. I coached Women's VB and taught PE for four years. In 1978 our first child, Trevor, was born and we taught with him riding (in our backpack and attending VB meets). My husband was in charge of the outdoor education program so we did a lot of camping, canoeing, and cross country skiing in the mountains surrounding Santa Fe.
In 1980 we moved to Talmage, KS and had our second child, Brent was born. My husband went into banking and I took six years off to raise children. In 1983, Monette was born and we seemed to stay very busy.
In 1986, I started teaching again. I taught at four elementary schools and had about 400 students. I had to keep track of all the equipment and move it from one school to another. I did that for fourteen years. Then I was moved to the HS and Middle school, then the HS and the elementary, all in all I spent 22 years at the Chapman Schools! I was selected as teacher of the year for both the HS in 2001 and also the elementary school in 2003. I felt very honored.
I retired in 2008 from teaching but have taken over all the farm books and boy does the government ever make you do a lot of paper work.
I have five grandchildren now and love to spend time with our kids and their families. They all live in Kansas and we all love to get together.
I'm anxious to see my old 1966 classmates!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
