Today's Featured Biography
Don Leas
Married Cindy Brown (SHS Class 65) September 1966. Three children, nine grandchildren, and no pets.
USMC 1965-1969. Marble Mountain VN 1969, CH46 Squadron, Purple Fox.
Retired from Lockheed Martin 2006 after 41+ years.
Currently work part time for BGI, LLC as their Contracts Manager.
Gave up my small company doing home improvements in 2014 in order to spend more time with the family, boating, and playing baseball.
Cindy and I spend most of our time with our grandchildren since eight of the nine live very close.
My sport is baseball.
Have played in the Roy Hobbs World Series in Fort Myers, FL 26 of the last 29 years and in the MSBL World Series (Phoenix, AZ) in 2010, 2011, 2016 and 2017.
In the 2014 Roy Hobbs World Series in FL I played for the Minnesota Saints 70+ Team and we were crowned the 2014 Champions. Life is good.
In the 2016 MSBL World Series, AZ, I played for the St. Paul Saints 70+ Team and we were crowned the 2016 Champions.
Then again in 2017 the St. Paul Saints won the 2017 Championship. Three rings in four years.
My hobbies are:
1. Canoeing/fishing (wish someone would show me how to spend more time "catching" since I spend to much time "fishing".
2. Camping
3. Sold my 1948 Chevy pick-up truck in 2015 and now I'm a sport boater. Tubing and wakeboarding.
4. Baseball as long as the body holds up.
