Today's Featured Biography
Cindy Chamberlain Wittkopp
Hi all,
Just celebrated my 20th anniversary with my one and only, Bill! We are blessed with twins (Karl and Hannah) who just entered the 9th grade. Can't believe they are in high school! Scary! Hopefully they will not make many of the mistakes I made. :) In any case, my son is in the marching band (tuba) and my daughter plays the violin in the orchestra. This year I am feeling a little lost as I homeschooled Hannah throughout middle school, but it's a good kind of "lost".
As for my "career path", well, after the Air Force, I worked with Eastern Airlines, was in the process of becoming a flight attendant and then, suddenly, they went out of business. So, I ended up in college pursuing a nursing degree. When I was almost finished with my prerequisites, I found out I was having twins.........and life changed, drastically. Bill and I decided that I would be a stay at home mom.
It's been great and has afforded us the ability to not only take care of my own children, but also burned children from other countries who need a family to love and care for them. Life is ironic. I wanted to be a nurse. It didn't happen as I thought, but I sure did LOTS of nursing and physical therapy, so in the end, I ended up doing what I truly wanted to do. I just didn't go the avenue I thought I would. Funny how things work out. Lots of valuable lessons learned in my life...........and I'm sure I have many more coming. :)
