Today's Featured Biography
Kit Lankford Johnson
After college graduation, I taught school at Raytown South for two years...lived on the Plaza with college friends and enjoyed life!(Ah!Those were some great times!) Needing more adventure, a roommate and I sold our earthly possessions and took off for an European adventure. I remained in Europe for almost a year, working, traveling and meeting fascinating people. I call it my "Bohemian Period." I met my husband while he served in the Army there in Germany. We returned to the US, married, and have lived in his home of Oklahoma City ever since. I taught school for 25 years in the Putman City district, and retired, happily in 1999. I've worked part-time consistently until just recently, and now I volunteer as a tutor for adult literacy. We are fortunate to have our two children and two grandchildren close by, and we see them regularly. We have been able to travel a bit, and that seems to satisfy my "wanderlust" bug. It is annoying to many, but despite living in Oklahoma City for all of these years, I still think of Kansas City as home! Actually, I moved to Raytown in my sophomore year, but there was just something so wonderful to me about those 3 years with you all. My family had moved almost every year when I was growing up, so my "stop" in Raytown became "home." My husband and I are fortunate to still be active and healthy, and have wonderful friends. I try to live by these words: "Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect. It means you've decided to see beyond the imperfections." I am grateful to my RHS friends who made my highschool years (and all the years after!) so wonderful and memorable. Here's the "real scoop" on me, though. My favorite color is whatever is on sale, I detest "absolutism", and if there is such a thing as a second chance at life, I want to come back as an NFL middle linebacker! The end!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
