After graduation, I attended one year of school at Moberly Area Community College, sat out for a year and worked at Orscheln's Brake Lever, but in Nov. 1972 I was drafted into the Army.
Married Linda Cobb at Carpenter Street Baptist Church May 1973.
Served in the Active Army for 10 years working on short range Missile systems.
Got out of the Army and worked for a short time each at General Electric and Intergraph Corp., both in Huntsville, Al.
Returned to work with the Army as a civilian employee with the Army Missile Command. I worked in numerous positions, first as a Logistic Assistant Representative on missile systems, then as a Logistic staff officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Maintenance Policy Office (Pentagon) and later for the Army Materiel Command as a Logistic Analyst in the National Maintenance Office, which I retired from in 2007.
After retiring from Federal service, we moved down to Alabama to be closer to our daughter and first granddaughter. Fortunately, the rest of our kids also decided to move down to Alabama.
After a short time, we decided that I was not ready to retire and returned to work for the Army as a defense contractor, supporting the Army Materiel Command on Redstone Arsenal, AL. I continued to work for the Army until 2025.
Linda developed several health issues starting in 2019, both heart and breast cancer, and unexpectedly passed Feb. 2024.
Our kids have given us eight grandchildren Mason, Andrew, Evan, Olivia, Kayden, Bentlee, Sophia and Mykia.
During our years of Army life, we have lived or had tours in Germany (8 yrs), Redstone Arsenal, AL.; Ft. Lewis, WA.; Ft. Riley, KS.; Ft. Stewart, GA.; Ft. Bragg, NC; Pentagon, Washington DC; Ft. Belvoir, VA.; Crete, Egypt and Southwest Asia (Desert Shield/Storm). So after seeing a good part of the world, now I am starting to make plans to see the USA via an RV.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
