Today's Featured Biography
Cindy Miller Lowe
Went to Texas in 1979 for final requirement of my training with Braniff Airlines, a month of computer training in Dallas. Quickly found out that Dallas was a very fun place to be young & single. Day after Braniff's graduation, landed a job there with an agency & enjoyed every minute of being a travel agent & all of the fantastic perks that came along with it of being courted & catered to by all the airlines/cruise companies/hotels/cars, etc. Referred to now by agents everywhere as "the good old days". Assured my parents I'd move back in a year but unfortunately for them I met my husband there the following summer & stayed. We have four sons, almost 22, 23, 26 & 27 and we celebrated our 31st anniversary in May.
The promise to move back was finally accomplished 24 years later in 2004 when we relocated to Kansas to be closer to my family & to be there for them in their old age, way, way, in the future. Alas, life is what happens when you are busy making other plans. Lost my brother & mother within months of moving here, then my dad to terminal cancer not long after them. It's been tough, but thankful we were here when they needed us most.
It is nice to be back here and I for one enjoy having seasons again! Oh yeah, if I'd known the damn Internet would be kicking my butt by having my stupid senior picture on it 35 years later, I'd taken my senior pictures more seriously, instead of, you know, with the zero interest I gave. Mom had to force me to go take them & I took the bare minimum. Even let her convince me to go to her "salon". My hair never looked like that except for those pictures. WTH.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
