After high school, I received my degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) in 1985 from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND and began my career at the Mayo Clinic as a staff OT in 1986. During almost 28 years at Mayo Clinic, I held various administrative positions within the Department of Physical Medicine in addition to providing clinical patient care. In December of 2011, I completed my Masters in Health Care Administration and in May 2013, I left Mayo Clinic for a new position with Northfield Hospital & Clinics. I am currently the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Northfield Hospital + Clinics, responsible for the planning, administration and operations of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and athletic training services.
My husband, Bob (class of '81) and I have two children – a 25-year-old daughter Skye Marie and a 23-year-old son, Bond Ian (and yes, he was named after James Bond, and Ian Fleming). Skye is married and lives in the cities. She is completing 6 months of clinicals and then will graduate from Saint Catherine University with a Masters in Occupational Therapy in December 2019. Our son Bond, graduated from Century High School in 2014 and is currently working for Two Men and a Truck as a driver and lives in NW Rochester.
We share our home with our goldendoodle (poodle/golden retriever mix) named Piper. Some of my interests include flower gardening, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and travel. I am also a sucker for romantic comedies and musicals.
Now that we are empty-nesters, Bob and I are building a home out in Lake City and hope to move in by the end of 2019.
It has been fun to catch up with everyone on this website. Hope to see some of you at the reunion in 2020.
