After graduation I went to the U of M and received a BSB in Business and later a MBA. I married Judy Erickson (RHS'61)in 1963 and quickly had three children as I worked in market research at Prudential Insurance Co., project administration at Honeywell,and as a security analyst at Piper, Jaffray. After several years there, Barry Wold who was also at Piper and I joined another classmate (Roger Spears) in a retail boat and recreation company called Crosstown Marine. We ran the business for 20 years and at one time had 5 retail stores in the metro area. After much hard work and lots of fun Barry and I returned to Piper Jaffray as an investment team, and are still working as such now for R.W.Baird. Roger is still in the boat business in Phoenix.
We first lived on Lake Minnetonka,then Robbinsdale, Maple Grove (where Dick Whinnery sold me a house),and several places in Minnetonka for the last 18 years. We have traveled to Scotland, England, Europe, Israel, and recently to Africa where we visited our son-in-law,oldest daughter, and 3 grandchildren who direct, teach, and attend a Christian school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We love to garden, hike and babysit our other 2 grandchildren together. I keep busy playing golf, collecting stamps (philatelist), coins (numismatist), buffalos, and monkeys (stupidist).
We have both been actively involved for the last 30 years at Wayzata Evangelical Free Church where we often see many RHS classmates from '58 and other years.
I have enjoyed working on the reunion committee and sharing past memories one of which I have posted on the website. Hoping to see everyone next August.
