Today's Featured Biography
Glen Pingston
Within these past fifty years, I wrote, taught, played, and directed music in four of my own bands. The latest band name is: "The Big Pinky Band" (see not updated for 2 years-www.bigpinky.com).
In 1966 I joined the US Army and went to Viet Nam. There I saw a beautiful country lost to war. After that I went to LIT in Southfield and ended up designing carbide milling cutters at Futuremill in Farmington. Then I went to HIIS (Honeywell Institute of Information Science) and was taught to program mainframe computers. The next 22 1/2 years I wrote software "drivers" for large NC robotic machines and also taught and worked with some computer science geniuses in Ann Arbor for a corporation called Schlumberger Technologies. Also, during that time I joined the VFW.
Later on, I joined the MRCC (Carpenter's) Union; got my Michigan builder's license; and, started my own "commercial ceiling and walls" business. Somewhere along the way, my wife and I conceived three lovely daughters who gave Jill and I, three great son-in-laws and six wonderful grand children.
My lovely wife, Jill and I retired with two separate company pensions. We've been married forty-eight years. Wow, time flies when you're trying to have lots of fun as a progressive hippy, which now belongs (I think) to the "Beer Party" political scene.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
