Today's Featured Biography
Gene Hansen
Left for U of M June 1962. Left U of M February 1963 and worked in San Francisco 63-64. Returned to college 1965, graduated in 1967 and got married. Joined Army 1968,was Combat Engineer enlisted man and officer. Vietnam 1970-71. Returned to Michigan for law school 71-74. Became partner at big firm in Sears (now Willis) Tower in Chicago and discovered I didn't like it.Ditto wife 1. Divorced in 81. Left big firm in 1985. Remarried and joined smaller firms. Both better than original.
Now practice as sole practitioner in downtown Chicago and live with Sarah, wife of 29 years, on wooded 8 acres 40 miles northwest of my office in Chicago. Daughter Audrey is copywriter, Son Jim is violinist, Motown & R&B fan, and recent college grad studying for law boards. Other than usual old guy health issues (heart attack, prostate cancer, hip fracture) still, gratefully able to hunt and fish. Still cheer for Michigan teams and miss Michigan, but love Chicago.
