Today's Featured Biography
Duncan Blue
After graduating from LHS, attended USL (UL,LA) and graduated 1975. Went to work in oilfield and have been there ever since. Through various moves in the industry, ended up at Baker Hughes 22 years ago. Later in life, decided to get my MBA and finished that in 2001. Married Anne Schambach from New Orleans in 1978, moved to New Orleans and had our 4 children. Moved to Houston in 2001. I am proud o and honored to have been inducted as a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre (KHS)(http://www.vatican.net/roman_curia/institutions_connected/oessh/index_en.htm) whose mission is charged with the task of providing for the needs of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and of all the activities and initiatives to support the Christian presence in the Holy Land.
I am a Global Product Line Manager/Product Development of Marketing - all surface systems drilling and evaluation,including hardware and software. Currently hold three patents. Have a great team of motiviated professionals working for me and really enjoy my work. My wife works for a kidney dialysis company in marketing. My oldest daughter is a nurse at MD Anderson working as a coordinator in bone marrow transplant (just accepted to Masters Program for Nurse Practicioner). My oldest son is a professional chef, in transition from a rustic european place in Houston (FEAST) to a fine dining place in New Orleans (August). My youngest son will graduate in December from LSU and my youngest daughter is a Junior at LSU.
I will not be able to attend the reunion :( as my oldest daughter is getting married :)that same weekend in New Orleans. I have been told that I am expected to attend the wedding...go figure!
I have really enjoyed looking at everyone's profiles and many fond memories that those pictures and stories have brought back. I wish everyone well and hope to catch up at the next go-round. Please email and connect so we can stay in touch. From the looks of things, we could start an LHS alumni group in the Houston area!
