I was a college professor for a number of years but left the academic community in the early 1990s. I began to teach seminars for corporations. something that is known as Management Development or Executive Education. I went back to the academic community in 1995, but I did not have a "regular" faculty position. I ran a seminar business for a university until 2000. I then left the university community for the final time and have been self employed, once again, for the past 17 years. I mainly work overseas. For the past fifteen years the majority of my work has been in South Africa and Australia. I spend about 3 months in each of those countries each year (not all at once) and have the occasional contract in other countries. The remaining six months of the year, I'm in the US and do some work (but not much). I still maintain my ties to the academic community. I have visiting professor relationships with three universities, one in the US (University of Virginia), one in Australia (University of Melbourne) and one in South Africa (University of Pretoria). My kids are grown. Sarah is 38 and has her own business--personal styling and branding for professional women. She and her husband live in the suburbs of Washington DC. My son, Slade, is 32 and he lives in Richmond, VA. He has two beautiful children ages 11 and 8. He works as a software salesman for a automotive parts company. I've been married for 44 years to Ellen and we've lived in Richmond VA, for the past 20 years.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
