Hello to all SME 64 Graduates that attended the 60th Reunion. Thanks to all that attended. Seeing everyone having a great time made all the Committee's work worth every minute.
The DJ was great (Jay McFadden SME '65) Mike being surrounded by 10-15 of the most gorgeous women in the world trying his best to remember American Bandstand steps was worth watching. He needed Susan Bresnick's help. He made it through with so-so flying colors.
Anyway, thanks to all and something will be happening a few years down the road.

Today's Featured Biography
Diane Seaver Lachenmayr
After 3 years at KU, I married an attorney in Wichita. I graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 1968. That's where being news editor of my high school newspaper took me. I am still friends with other staffers.
I was fortunate to be able to raise my 3 sons as a stay at home mom. This meant lots of involvement as cub scout leader, junior golf chairman, room mother, school volunteer, driver to sport and debate events, hosting end of year parties at our home. My boys are all married with great spouses and 2 or 3 children each. Kevin is Managing Editor of Halo Franchise for Microsoft. Jeff is president of insurance company in Wichita. Brady is vice president of JEDunn Construction Company, just having moved to Houston. Grandchildren are a wonderful invention! Here my name is G.G.
After my divorce in 2000, the arrival of the new century brought a wonderful man into my life. My new husband is an independent oil producer. So I have learned a new set of vocabulary words and have even invested in drilling a few wells. He brought three step children and three more grandchildren into my life. We travel and incorporate various hobbies: my photography, love of the National Parks, Howard loves to fish, we play bridge on our Crystal Cruise vacations and visit wine country in California and Washington state. We take our ski boat to Beaver Lake for a few weeks every summer. This is a "back to the beginning" experience also. My high school trip with 6 friends was to visit my parent's cabin at Beaver Lake.
We have season WSU basketball tickets. We have traveled with the team to pre and post season tournaments. And we attend the Missouri Valley conference tournament in St. Louis every year. We were in Atlanta when they played in the NCAA final four game. Go Shocks!!!
My work experience was in development and grant writing. I worked for Wesley Medical Center for four years before children. Part time work included Director of Christian Education for 9 years and grant writing for Fundamental Learning Center, an educational group specializing in teaching children with dyslexia and other learning differences. Between my married lives, I worked full time as Vice President of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters. With a staff of 9, I fund raised to meet a $2.8 million budget.
