Attended KU for one year; married (SME ’62 grad) Bob Meyer in 1965; marriage ended in 1967. Married Robert Weneck in1969; lived on Lowell in Overland Park; had two wonderful children; divorced in 1979. Brad, Laura, and I spent the winter holidays that same year with my father in Mexico City. In 1982, the children and I moved to Florida. Eight years later, Laura and I made a big move - to California; Brad stayed in Florida. Laura graduated from Cal State Fullerton; she teaches elementary grades, special ed and general ed. Brad did two years in the Navy; recently made a career change from sales to the computer industry. I’ve done secretarial work for psychiatrists, in KC and Tucson; worked several years with developmentally disabled adults; for 20+ years have managed the Costa Mesa apartment bldg where I’ve lived for 22 years. Met the love of my life, Emmett, at a local ice skating rink and we’ve been together for 21 years now. In November we’ll be at the Phoenix Nascar. Other leisure time interests are NHRA races; creative cooking; watching movies; reading books - quantum mechanics and metaphysics; going to Yitzhak Perlman recitals and classic rock concerts; going where there is water and wildlife; playing at Disneyland. A few years ago, our now deceased classmate, Bob Blake, tracked me down. After talking for hours via phone, we decided to meet in person. During my next trip to FL, Brad and I visited Bob at his home in FL. He said I was a “hoot” and that has been my nickname since, and the name I use for e-mail. If there is a 55th or 60th reunion I’ll try to be there. Thank you a 100 times to reunion committee for making SME ’63 reunions the best of the best. Look forward to reading the 50th reunion yearbook. Blessings to all
