Today's Featured Biography
David Sarna
After leaving Lincoln Tech and Chicago in 1974, my Father and I opened a family owned Automotive repair facility in Manawa, WI, my Mother's home town. I married a nurse, Debbie Seeger in 1980 and we had 2 children during that period, Michael in 1985 and Dawn in 1987. We sold the business in 1989, at which time I joined the US Army. My career both active and reserve would span until retirement in 2016, during which I was deployed 4 times between Iraq and Afghanistan. Following my active duty time in 1985, I worked at various Automotive repair facilities locally when I was contacted by the near-by Community College to teach night classes, which eventually lead to a full time instructor's job in 1999, that I stayed at until retirement in 2016 as the Department chair. During this same period, I served as my
district's City Alderman, and was voted in as Mayor between 2008-2012. I am still married to Debbie today and my son and son-in-law both are design engineers for John Deere tractor in Ottumwa, Iowa with 4 grandchildren between them. I am slowing down now but I have always enjoyed adventure and risk, doing nearly everything from Bull riding to racing to sky-diving and flying airplanes. There have been a few wrecks along the way but I have managed to preserve life and limb. I just recently returned from helping to run the Iditarod Sled dog race in Alaska. If I had the chance to return to EPCHS all over again, I guess as many I would accept the risk but not sure if the follow on years would have turned out as lucky.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
