BARBARA ZENDER/ SHOULD HAVE BEEN LUDE COSGROVE
MARRIED TO JIM 1968 IN HAWA11,PEARL HARBOR SUBMARINE BASE.
WE GOT OUT OF THE NAVY FOR 3 YEARS,HAD BOTH LEAH AND BRAD THEN CAME BACK IN, GIVING JIM HIS 2ND TIME IN VIETNAM WATERS TOTAL OF 3. IN 1973 JIM WENT TO SUBMARINES IN PEARL HARBOR, DIRECT INPUT, SPENT 14 YEARS ON SUBMARINES(BOATS).
WE LIVED IN HAWAII 10 YRS TOTAL TOTAL 4 SHIPS, 2 SUBMARINES(HENRY CLAY SSBN625) (USS (ETHAN ALLEN SSBN608), NEEDLESS TO SAY JIM IS VERY PROUD OF HIS SUBMARINE SERVICE.
IN OUR TRAVELS WE LIVED IN WIKIKI WHEN WE GOT MARRIED,PEARL HARBOR 3 DIFFERENT TIMES,KITTEREY MAINE (PORTSMOUTH NAVEL SHIPYARD),CHARLESTON SC.KWEST, FLORIDA,BANGOR WASHINGTON, THEN AFTER JIM MADE WARRANT OFFICER HE WENT TO THE USS MIDWAY IN YOKOSUKA JAPAN UN -ACCOMPANIED WE WENT TO OREGON THEN 2 YEARS LATER RETIRED OFF THE USS MIDWAY CV 41 AS FOOD SERVICE OFFICER,WE WENT TO OREGON. AFTER RETIREMENT JIM CAME HOME TO OREGON,WASHINGTON. WE ALSO LIVED IN FLORIDA AND FINALLY UP TO THE NASHVILLE ARE WE LOVE IT HERE BUT WILL END UP IN THE GREAT NORTHWEST WHEN THE TIME COMES! WE ALSO LOVE OREGON AND WASHINGTON.
