After graduation I went to work at Universal Oil Products in Des Plaines as a secretary in the Patent Depart. I remained there until I married in 1963. We then moved to Ft. Collins, CO where my husband was attending graduate school. In 1964 our first son was born. In 1966 we moved to London, England for a year, returning then to CO. In 1968 we moved to Monterey, CA where we still live. Our other 3 children were born in CA.
In 1974 we became foster parents and over the next 21 years we had more than 50 children in our care. I continue to serve on one of the Boards for Kinship Center.
In addition to foster care I volunteered in the local kindergarten for 16 years.
We have 9 grandchildren living in 4 states so do much traveling to see them and have also done alot of travel around the world because of my husband's job.
