After college, I started my 30 year career in technology with Illinois Bell (remember your phone bill with the punch card) that was my start as a computer programmer. At Satellite Business Systems, I was part of the team to test functionality of the first commercial telecommunication satellite launched from the shuttle. Went to Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as Director of Telecommunications and later moved to sunny Florida for a slower pace lifestyle. My pre-retirement of 15 years were spent at Walt Disney World, most recently as an Innoventions Presenter at Epcot.
Since retiring in 2006, my volunteer activities include Chair, Meal Assistance Program at Peace United Methodist Church, church Finance Committee member and Neighborhood Board Representative to the Hunter's Creek Association.
My hobbies are poolside gardening, golf (very casual), computer management and investing. My passions include personal asset management, building personal computers and researching best buys. They call me a "wise" shopper. Did I say "squeaky"?
In 1983 I married Ann Peterson. We met at our 20th high school class reunion, never having had one class together. We've been together ever since, first living in Fairfield, Connecticut and later Orlando, Florida. Ann and I are both looking forward to our 50th class reunion.
