Pamela Mason Lovell

Hi Everyone!

This is a great site!

After graduating in 1980 I went off to a 4-year Christian college in Indiana for 2 years. When my brother, Randy, graduated in 1982 from LDF he wanted to attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and my entire family moved to Lynchburg including me. I had planned to finish my education at LU but went to work for Dr. Falwell's Old Time Gospel Hour in the legal department where I was introduced to my future husband. We were married in 1983 and had our son in 1989. I worked for an architectural firm in Lynchburg for over 14 years. We built our home on 140 acres in the foothills of the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. I miss Virginia very much. We also owned our own lawn care business. I went back to school in 2000 to get my medical transcription certificate and began doing medical transcription work for a local allergy doctor. After a 20-year marriage, my ex-husband abandoned his son and I Christmas of 2002. My son, Matthew, and I moved back to Iowa in 2003 to the family farm in Tama County. We now both live and work in the West Des Moines area. I joined FRK Architects in 2004. I absolutely love my job and everyone I work with! Our firm will be moving the end of October 2010 into a newly designed suite on the 3rd floor of the Century III Building in West Des Moines on Westown Parkway. My son is the Service Manager at Bridgestone-Firestone which ironically is the next building to the east of ours! My son will be 21 in November. He is my greatest accomplishment and we are very close. My brother had returned to Iowa with his family in 2000. He is a pilot for Pella Windows and lives just north of Pella. He is also pastor of one of the fastest growing churches in the state -- Liberty Baptist Church in Marshalltown. I so enjoyed seeing old classmates at the 2005 class reunion which was the first one I had been able to attend! I hope to hear from others from LDF! Update: I bought my own home in WDM in January 2010! I worked very hard on recovering my credit score after the divorce and saved to buy the kind of house I wanted and where I wanted it! I then moved my son and his fiance' in with me! We love it!! I became a grandma September 1, 2010! My son and his fiance' had a little baby boy -- Lucas (Luke) David Lovell. I got to be in the birthing suite for the delivery! They had him at the new Mercy West Lakes Hospital in WDM. He is the joy of my life now!
