Lori Schuler Holmes

Wow-have no idea to where to begin. My life has been a roller coaster full of ups and downs. However, I have remained positive and I am in the place where I want to be.

Career wise- I graduated from Mankato State University in 1984 with a Bachelors in Criminology. From there I went to work at the Riverview Release Center in Newton. After having my daughter I wanted to work part time so I ended up at the Work Release Center in Des Moines. There I was promoted to a Supervisor and then to a Probation Parole Officer. In 2003 I decided to have a career change so I went back to college and obtained my Masters in Special Education. I worked for a non profit in Chariton prior to moving to Las Vegas in May of 2009.

I have a fantastic daughter Jessica. She is my strength and light. She is an awesome daughter - we are very very close. So this move has been a difficult one but one we both needed. She moved to Ankeny after graduation and has plans to attend DMACC.

That brings me to personal..well don't really like to talk about me. A few years ago I vacationed in Las Vegas (after getting my divorce) and stayed with my parents. Another friend set me up on a blind date and walla 2 1/2 years later I moved here. Tim is a fantastic man(wish I would have meet him years ago).So I am beginning a new life path and hope to hold on tight because I am ready for one heck of a ride. Speaking of ride- on our down time we ride Harleys. There is so much to see and do here besides the strip. I love the desert and the mountains in any direction you look.
