Kris Schultz Kelly
Thanks to Rachel Thieberg for looping me in about this site. I've had so much fun reading everyone's profiles - I can't believe it's been 20 years!
After graduating from the University of Kansas with degrees in Journalism and Political Science, I moved to Las Vegas to start my career in marketing and public relations. In Sin City, I met my husband Bret and followed him to Salt Lake City (talk about a culture shock). In 1998, his dream job working for CBS Sports brought us to Dallas where we've been ever since. I've had some amazing career opportunities over the years, including a long stint as Communications Director for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and then 3 years as VP of PR for Match.com - if anyone is interested, I can still get you a complimentary membership :-)
Last year, I took the job of a lifetime working for Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban (yes, I did attend his Dancing with the Stars practice sessions). I head up marketing and PR for all of their entertainment and media businesses - specifically 2929 Productions, Magnolia Pictures, Landmark Theatres and HDNet. It's amazing - and slightly insane - working for these two entrepreneurs, but I love it.
We haven't gotten around to children yet as my mother keeps reminding me, but I'm a dedicated dog parent to two furry ones. We're active in cultural and entertainment organizations here in Dallas, and we do volunteer work with Komen and the SPCA. We also love to travel, spend time with friends and family (no longer in Ames, unfortunately) and collect wine. I just got my save-the-date card for the reunion, so I hope we can make it!
