Class of '76 - 50th High School Reunion
Can you believe it has been almost 50 years since we graduated from Concord High School? The anniversary will be here before you know it!
Gather, Celebrate & Reminisce!
The Reunion Committee is planning an amazing & memorable event for the weekend of Saturday, October 3, 2026. An outstanding dinner and dance is planned Saturday night at the Hyatt Riverfront in Wilmington. Several additional fun activities are being planned for the weekend as well.

����After Concord, I attended the University of Delaware studying Chemical Engineering, graduating in 1980. On May 24, 1980 Carolyn Youse (our classmate from Concord �76) and I were married and moved to West Philadelphia where I attended graduate school at PENN and she worked for GE in their aerospace division.
����After getting my Ph.D., we moved to Penn Wynne and I went to work for Arco Chemical while Carolyn started up and ran an aerospace consulting firm with a colleague she knew from GE. In the late �80�s Carolyn and I both went to work for Himont in Wilmington (a company that makes a plastic called polypropylene), and in 1990 we went to Ferrara, Italy for a two year transfer. While there I learned to speak Italian and unfortunately improved my taste in wine and clothes.����
Upon our return we lived in Newark, and in 1998 Carolyn went to work for Gore as a
product specialist for their Elixir guitar string line. In 2000, we moved to Havre de Grace. Tragically, on March 23, 2001 Carolyn suffered a massive heart attack at work and died at Union Hospital in Elkton.
����Until 2013 I remained employed by the same company, though the name changed several times from Himont, to Montell, to Basell, to LyondellBasell (and to confuse things further, my last division was called Equistar). My work primarily involved mathematical modeling for use in process simulation (like a flight simulator for a chemical plant) and process control.
In 2013 I joined the Polypropylene Marketing group of Phillips 66 based at the Linden, NJ Refinery. I still live in Wilmington, and get home every weekend. My new job is on the product side doing technical service and product development.
����In 2004, I was married Michelle Talmo. Michelle is a Wilmington native who attended Padua Academy, and received a B.A. in Journalism from the U of D in 1984. Michelle also worked for LyondellBasell doing corporate communications until 2013 when she started her own consulting company.We live in Pike Creek.
