Today's Featured Biography
Craig Peters
You got to be kidding me!
Okay, so I left school in 1969 and ended up in Mexico, then Tucson, flopped in New Orleans for a few months after Mardis Gras....
Finally came back and did make nice with Mr. Dunkelburger and got my HS Diplma from Concord in '71 but didn't bother with the ceremony, had some racing to do..
So I went to U of D, married, quit U of D with son #1 on the way, just about enlisted in the Air Force but the recruiter turned into an idiot so I left the AFEES center in Philadelphia and took up some serious biking.
I rode bikes, raced a bit, had some children with Celeste Hartman, a damn good woman that I was too young to appreciate. Founded a race shop, lost it to a fire in '77 and Jack Haas, the son of the band leader died in it... lost my nut for a while, ended up on a mountain on the back side of Stowe and lived like a hermit for a bit.
Ended up living in Brampton Ontario outside of Toronto working as a production supervisor for a roofing manufacturer and they sent me to Edgemoor to work on the old Artic Roofing plant, somehow ended up in Delaware again. I really was not suited for punching a time clock and schedules so ... good bye and away I went again...
Rode around the East Coast for a while, made a living as a carpenter, learned the technical end from Mr. Driesbach in Forwood JHS and my father rounded my into a fair builder.
I built houses, additions and specialized in kitchens and baths for most of my adult life,
worked on restoring Andrew Wyeth's kitchen in Chadd's Ford, Senator Biden's childhood room was gutted by .... yup... over on Harvey Road. Lived on the Green for a couple years then headed to the beach in 1982 with my new daughter..
Worked as a contractor, did still more craziness, it would fill a bloody book... I dabbled in antiques and lighting restoration. Did a 2 year stint at a rock station as overnight DJ and did commercial voices, copy writing with sales and promotion.
Lost my ass with Miliken in penny stocks in '88, sold the Porsche and went back to the tools.
Ended up on the road again in '99 and bought 25 acres of Adirondacks with a pond, stream and remarried and built my final home, by myself and for us.
Now we are involved in Horticulture and specialize in Zone ground covers for erosion control. I am also a New York State Code Enforcement Official....
You believe they gave me a badge?
I still ride a 2004 Buell Firebolt XB12R that is modified and enjoy looking forward to this summer spending some track time with my oldest son at speed...
Life so far has been a trip, it isn't over yet and my goal is for 2012 in September at the Bonneville Salt Flats to be the first father-son team to enter the 200MPH club.
Hope to see you in November, it's been 10 years for some but for Wayne Goodson, I've been looking for him since 1972....
Gotta be there!
Blessings and health to all!
Craig

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
