Today's Featured Biography
Charlee Lewis
In 1958 I joined the Airforce and spent 2 years on the East Coast. Learned a lot got my G.I. benefits then back home and various jobs until I went to college in 1977 got an Accounting Degree. Married 1972 one son James born 1973. Graduated from Ministrial Training 1980 and was Pastor of Religious Science Churches until 1994 when I resigned and devoted full time to Accounting as I was now divorced and supporting my son for his UCLA education.
Moved around after the divorce lived in Santa Fe, NM, then Phoenix AZ, then back to So. Calif and finally back to No.California to be near my 5 sisters and 3 brothers and 26 nieces and nephews. 3 of my sisters retired to The Oroville area. I retired in 2004 and moved to Verona, Italy for 5 years. It had always been a dream of mine
to live in Europe. I got a Certificate to teach English as Second Language and taught Doctors, Lawers and Bankers English while I was there. The extra cash allowed me to travel to other parts of Europe while I was there. Finally my son and his wife had a baby and my son said, "come home mom," so back to No. Calif to live with my sistr Sandi on her little Ranchette. I really like the peace and quite of the country and just this May 2012 bought a house on 5 acres and plan to plant a garden, get a horse and raise chickens. Back to my country girl childhood roots from the farm in Santa Maria, CA. Life has been a great adventure and I am looking forward to this next chapter of my life. I am blessed with good health, a positive attitude, strong body, good friends and a wonderful extended family!!
2014 - My new activity is President and CEO of the Gylanic Education Trust. We train P.E. Teachers to teach children "Self Protection and Awareness skills against sexual abuse, assault and abduction. Check out our website: getgylanic.org Our training has been approved by the San Diego School District and we are expanding our training to other counties of California. Our goal is to reach every county so our children can be safety trained against the silent plague of sexual abuse and assault.
