Mary Moore Oliver
Mary Rose Elizabeth Moore Oliver was born in Union County, El Dorado, Arkansas. In 1950, she married U.S. Air Force MSGT Milton Oliver (Deceased) and had the opportunity to live abroad as far as Japan. She returned home to Sacramento, CA and raised her four loved children. Later, she relocated to Orlando, FL and lived her final years in Apopka, FL.
Mary gave her life to GOD at a young age. She gave her children a foundation to know, love and trust in GOD. Mary was a dedicated member of Mt. Zion Spiritual Temple, where she earned her lifetime minister's license under the direction of His Grace King Louis H. Narcisse (Sacramento/Oakland, CA and Detroit, MI). Later, she joined St. John MBC, Pastor Rev. Fred Maxwell (Orlando, FL) and finally home at Macedonia MBC, Pastor Rev. Willie C Barnes (Eatonville, FL).
She was an Ebony Fashion Model and retired with over 30 years in her passion as an Educator in CA and FL. She was gifted to help many people across the world. Mary volunteered with many organizations and in many communities.
Mary's Favorites: her four children, cooking, dancing, crafts, Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, The View, Joe Madison Radio, Estee Lauder Beautiful Belle, jewelry, hair brushed, bunnies, lemon trees, Russell Stover Chocolates, popcorn, oysters, pork skins, Coke-a-cola, and affirmation was "GOD Is!"
10/4/2019, Mary leaves to cherish her memory: Sons: Roderick Milton Oliver and Phi YoBa; Daughters: Renay Oliver (Deceased) and Sandra Maria Oliver all of Apopka, FL; Grandchildren: Roderick Oliver, Jr., Yolanda Oliver (Sacramento, CA); and Jocque Oliver (Apopka, FL); and a host of family and friends from around the world.
Mary is preceded in death by her Mother: Rosie Lee Tillman Terry (CA), Brothers: Clarence Edward and Jimmy L. Terry (CA), Sister: LaVerne Tucker (CA), Aunts: Helen Ruth Holly (CA), Christine Smith and Elena Moore (MI), Uncle: Harry McNeill, Jr. (CA) and Grandson: Mari Zaccheus Tillman (Apopka, FL).
